Rocky Balboa (ROCKY, 1976)

While his shot at the title is only a publicity stunt, he takes the opportunity seriously and does what no other fighter has done: he goes a full 15 rounds with heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. ROCKY earned 10 Oscar nominations and won 3 including Best Picture and Directing.
