Ellen Ripley (ALIENS, 1986)

In ALIEN, Ellen Ripley became the heroine out of sheer necessity. In ALIENS it was her choice. Fueled by the destruction of a mining colony and the capture of the little girl Newt, Ripley would accomplish what an entire unit of Colonial Marines could not. ALIENS was nominated for 7 Oscars and won 2 for Visual Effects and Sound Effects Editing.
