While UP IN THE AIR (2009) had won a number of awards for its writing prior to the 82nd Academy Awards, PRECIOUS: BASED ON THE NOVEL ‘PUSH’ BY SAPPHIRE took home the Oscar for Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay) by Geoffrey Fletcher, seen here backstage at the ceremony.
