78th Annual Academy Awards Governors Ball - March 5, 2006

This year’s Governors Ball was technically innovative by using the power of light as the prominent décor element. Guests entered a sleek ivory palette and slowly traveled through the various colors of the rainbow achieved by using color faders and dimmers. The ballroom’s physical space was a secondary element to the addition of light, water and ice. A dynamic ceiling treatment using a reflective surface adorned overhead while guests enjoyed the romance in which lighting brings to an event.
