When an Alzheimer’s research project is shut down, scientist Will Rodman, whose father is suffering from the disease, violates the rules of research protocol in his desire to find a cure. Despite the potential for disastrous consequences, Will becomes a surrogate parent to a baby chimp named Caesar, who has been exposed to the experimental drug.

Letteri also received a Scientific and Technical Award (Technical Achievement) in 2003 with Christophe Hery and Ken McGaugh for groundbreaking implementations of practical methods for rendering skin and other translucent materials using subsurface scattering techniques.
