Film Synopsis

The lives of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor provide a counterpart to that of a young New Yorker who becomes fascinated by their history.  As Wally Winthrop deals with an unhappy marriage and failed attempts at in vitro fertilization, she is drawn to the story of the onetime English king and the romance with an American divorcée that would lead to his abdication.
