Janek Sirrs, Jeff White, Guy Williams and Dan Sudick were nominated for their work in Marvel's The Avengers in the category of Visual Effects; Mark Ruffalo played the role of Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the film.

Les Misérables was nominated for eight categories, including Actor in a Leading Role, Actress in a Supporting Role, Costume Design, Makeup and Hairstyling, Original Song, Best Picture, Production Design, and Sound Mixing; Russell Crowe and Samantha Barks were a part of the ensemble cast.
