TUESDAY, February 21, 2012 – 9:30pm PST THE 2011 ANIMATED AND LIVE ACTION SHORT FILM NOMINEES HOSTED BY DIRECTOR AND TWO-TIME OSCAR WINNER BRAD BIRD Oscar Week kicks off with Shorts!, featuring screenings of all the Oscar-nominated films in the Animated and Live Action Short Film categories, plus an onstage discussion with the filmmakers (schedules permitting).

WEDNESDAY, February 22, 2012 – 7:30pm PST THE 2011 DOCUMENTARY SHORT SUBJECT AND DOCUMENTARY FEATURE NOMINEES HOSTED BY OSCAR WINNER AND DOCUMENTARY BRANCH GOVERNOR MICHAEL MOORE The third annual Docs! night spotlights the work of the nominated filmmakers in the Documentary Short Subject and Documentary Feature categories. The program will include film clips from all of the nominated documentaries in both categories, and a panel discussion with each group of nominees (schedules permitting).

The nominees (schedules permitting) will discuss their films’ development and their creative processes as well as present clips illustrating their techniques.
