Wonder what it really takes to get red carpet ready for the main event, the Academy Awards? Well, wonder no more!

My name is Rachel Smith, and I’m the co-host of ABC’s “On the Red Carpet”, but for the next week, I snagged the sweet gig of giving you a special sneak peek on all things fashion in the race to Oscar Sunday!

To get you in the know of how most Oscar nominees get ready for Hollywood’s biggest night, Oscar.com is giving me the Oscar nominee treatment. Now I’m no stranger to getting ready for a red carpet event since I am a former Miss USA, and I hit red carpets to interview celebs for my regular day job, but I’ve never worked with the stylists of the stars. This team is incredible! They’ve got my Oscar look covered from head to toe.
 
Our first stop on this journey is with celebrity stylist and co-host of E!’s “Fashion Police” George Kotsiopoulos. This guy works with some of the loveliest leading ladies in the biz like Kathryn Bigelow, Freida Pinto, Kerry Washington and Zooey Deschanel. We’ll catch up with him at a place called Film Fashion, one of Hollywood’s biggest style houses, in search of THE DRESS! Shame I have to pick just one!
