Billy Wilder was happily weighed down by his 3 Oscars for THE APARTMENT (his follow up to SOME LIKE IT HOT). He won for Writing and Directing the film, and it also won Best Picture. Wilder is one of only five people to win Academy Awards as the writer, director and producer of the same film.
