In 2008, Cate Blanchett joined an exclusive group of performers who have been nominated in two acting categories in one year. Blanchett was the 11th person to do so, nominated for the Best Actress Oscar for her performance in ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE and the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her performance in I'M NOT THERE. Individuals who have also been nominated for two acting categories in the past include Jamie Foxx, Julianne Moore and Emma Thompson.
