Did You Know - Blood, Sweat and Tears
Natalie Portman intensively trained with Mary Helen Bowers, a former dancer with the New York City Ballet, for her role as Nina in BLACK SWAN. The training was five hours a day, six days a week for months prior to filming. It paid off – Portman dazzled The Academy with her convincing portrayal of a ballet dancer, winning the Best Actress Oscar at the 83rd Academy Awards in 2011.
