John Patrick Shanley took home the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for MOONSTRUCK, a film about infidelity, marriage, and above all, love. Cher receieved the Oscar for Best Actress and co-star Olympia Dukakis took the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.
