Alan Arkin’s portrayal of foul-mouthed father Edwin Hoover in LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE stole the show and stole the hearts of Academy voters, garnering him his first Academy Award. Arkin was nominated for Best Actor in 1967 and again in 1969.
