1st Time’s the Charm: Eva Marie Saint started her film career off with a bang by taking home the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her debut performance of Edie Doyle in ON THE WATERFRONT. Her performance caught the eye of Alfred Hitchcock, who would go on to cast her as the femme fatale in his classic thriller NORTH BY NORTHWEST.
