Based on the play by Lucy Alibar (Nominee: Best Adapted Screenplay), BEASTS OF THE SOUTHERN WILD tells the story of a lively little girl in a Louisiana swampland whose imagination and resourcefulness come into play when rising flood waters threaten the isolated area. Nominated for four Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actress in a leading role, this Sundance favorite is wildly imaginative and delightful.
