Inside The Oscars: The Red Carpet

  • By Stephanie Wenger

Take a walk down the Oscar red carpet! Before viewers discover who the big winners are, the nominees, presenters and other guests enter the Academy Awards via the world-famous red carpet. In the sixth installment of our video series, “Inside the Oscars,” Rachel Smith gives you a glimpse of what it’s like to be there on Oscar night.

Only steps away from the Dolby Theatre, the red carpet stretches down Hollywood Boulevard and is lined with journalists, as well as more than 700 fans from around the globe. In fact, if a nominee decided to chat with every media outlet at the Academy Awards, it would take over two hours to get to the theatre entrance.

See all the stars on the red carpet when the Oscars air Sunday, March 2, 2014, at 7 p.m. ET | 4 p.m. PT on ABC and online at oscar.go.com.
